Bipolar affective disorder, or what is better known as manic-depressive illness is a medical condition in which the person experiences extreme emotional highs and lows in a short period of time. The new term better defines the extreme swings in mood that this type of disease, ranging from depression and sadness to joy and enthusiasm to manifest. An affective disorder, “manic depression”
, is a condition in which the current emotional state of mind unclear or inappropriate to the current situation. The 2 main types of mood disorders are depression (or unipolar depression) and bipolar disorder. Depression, or more specifically unipolar depression, involving different subtypes. These are the following: major depression, major depression (recurrent), major depression with psychotic symptoms or commonly as a psychotic depression, postpartum depression and dysthymia known. Bipolar disorder is a mood disorder that is often its previous mandate "manic depression" means. This disorder is characterized by alternating periods of mania and depression presented. Men and women are observed to undergo equal opportunities for the development of medical problems. It is commonly seen in young adults in their early thirties, if they see people of all ages. Cases of bipolar disorder in children. It is assumed that bipolar affective disorder is characterized by a mixture of reasons, including biochemistry, stress, genetics, and also the time they are thrown years. Research on biological relations, identical twins and adopted children who have biological parents with bipolar affective disorder necessarily mean that the disease can be transmitted probably genetic.
